Let's go bowling

Well neither of my teams did well in their bowls this year :( I had such a good time going to the Texas Bowl pep rally on Thursday and then working/tailgating/watching the game on Friday. Billy got to play a ton so that was awesome to watch. The final score was TCU 20, UH 13. The defense played great and I am so proud of him for all his hard work. Here are a couple shots of him I took from the sidelines.

Here is Billy sitting with Cody and Tate on the bench.

Another action shot.

The Ags didn't win either so we will have to do better next year.

Tomorrow is New Year's eve and Billy and I are going to Dallas to hang out with some friends and go to a wedding. I am so excited! We are bringing Lauren to Dallas as well, but she is going to hang out with some of her college friends.

Happy New Year's!!!!! :)

Vacation Time

I had such a great time this past week. On Monday, Billy and I left Houston and drove to the Hill Country to meet up with his parents. On Tuesday we went around to a bunch of different wineries and had a great dinner at the Gristmill in Gruene. Wednesday we went to the Outlet Mall at San Marcos and spent a ton of money of course. It was so nice to be able to go there right before Christmas and get some last minute presents. For dinner that night we went to Texas Red's, which is the steakhouse Billy and I discovered when we were there over spring break. The foos was delicious.
Thursday we slept in a little bit and then headed to San Antonio. We went to the Alamo, Market Square, and of course the Riverwalk. The Riverwalk is beautiful at night during the holiday season. We ate at Rio Rio Cantina and then went and hung out at Dirty Nelly's for a while. They have this hilarious piano man there, so that was fun. Friday was more of a relaxing day. We went back to Gruene and went to all the little shops they have there. Then we went and saw "National Treasue: Book of Secrets". We also went to a scrapbook depot and there was a ton of fun stuff there. Saturday we woke up and headed home. It was a great trip and was fun and relaxing.
When we got home, Billy and I wrapped some presents and then we made Christmas cookies. We make them every year so I am glad we got to make them again. Billy leaves for Bowl week today so he will be on the other side of Houston until after his bowl game on the 28th. I think he will be able to come home for a little while on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so that is happy. Here are some pictures from our trip! (Oh and he got his school ring finally so there is a picture of our rings together too!)

Merry Christmas to Everyone!!

VACATION!

So I am super pumped about being able to take some time off work to go chill somewhere other than Houston. Tomorrow I leave for Canyon Lake, outside of Austin, for some fun times with Billy and his parents. It should be amazing and I am so glad we are going to be able to see them on his birthday (they have been there since Saturday). I can't wait to sleep in, go shopping, and hang out on the River Walk. I love spending every moment with Billy so this should be a great trip.

Speaking of Billy, HE GRADUATED!!! It's crazy to think we are both done with college. I feel so old :( He doesn't feel any different since he starts grad school in less than a month. Here are some pictures from his graduation.

This is us right after graduation. It was very bright and windy outside.

This is us with his parents (it looks like we should be in a Cingular commercial in this picture).

Congratulations baby!!!!

Wednesday's off! (wahoo)
Shopping, shopping, and more shopping :)

Oh, Billy's football banquet was on Friday and it was so much fun. The food was great and everyone was dressed up. Here are some fun pictures from that.

Can't wait for Billy to graduate Saturday. . . CONGRATULATIONS! Also, congrats to him on getting into the MBA program. I am so proud!

Birthday Week :)

Well my 23rd birthday has come and gone and it is finally December. This past week was very busy at work because we had our first tournament this weekend. I stayed late every night, but it was a good experience. On Friday Billy came up to work to help the new guys up there learn how to do everything. We left around 6:30 and Billy's mom took us to eat at one of our favorite restaurante, LOS CUCOS! After eating we did some shopping and before we knew it, our Friday night was over. We had to wake up early on Saturday to get to the Complex, and we worked for about 12 hours straight. Billy's parents came and picked us up and took us to Carrabbas! Yumm! Sunday we woke up early again and worked the second day of the tournament. We left early and went to the Young Life Christmas party which was very nice, except of course they had Carrabbas. Wouldn't you know that after years of not having food from that restaurant, we have it two days in a row! At least it is delicious!

Now it is Monday and another busy week has begun. We have tournaments for the next two weekends so it will be busy for a little while longer. In less than two weeks, Billy is graduating! I am so proud of him and so excited to see him get his diploma! I am so glad that December has arrived, along with some cold weather, so we can get ready for Christmas! Let the festivities begin!

Thanksgiving Break!

Well over all I had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I ate a ton of food, hung out with some great family and friends, and of course, shopped like crazy. Yes, Billy and I braved the crowds starting at 4am on Friday. Over the course of the morning we went to JCPenney, Kohl's, Circuit City, Sam's, Macy's, Target, Academy, Walmart, Tuesday Morning and a few others. I finished almost all my Christmas shopping so that is exciting.

Saturday I went to Billy's game which was freezing and I think raining most of the time. They killed TSU and Billy got to start! :) After the game everyone came over to my house to celebrate my birthday. I am so thankful to have such an amazing family and wonderful friends in my life. I can't wait for another exciting week!

Danielle's Wedding

We had a blast in Alabama this past weekend. It was perfect weather for an outdoor wedding and the trees were beautiful since they are all different colors. Everything went smoothly and we all had a great time. I loved rooming with Michelle, my brother's fiancee, because we got to know each other a little bit better. It was so nice to see the whole family and I am looking forward to the next time we will all be together. Here is a slideshow of the wonderful wedding. Congratulations Danielle and Chris!

Since tomorrow is Turkey Day, I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Busy Week

Well I am definitely glad that it is Thursday night. Monday was great since Billy came to this side of town. We got to go to Young Life together and then we worked on his grad school application. Tuesday we had a party up at work, but after that I went down to Billy's and hung out with him. We got his application finished so now we can only wait and see if he gets in. We started practices this week at work, so I have been working late the past two nights. Last night after work, Betsy (my sister in law) went to dinner which was great. I love spending time with her and I am so happy that I have a sister. I only had brothers growing up, so now I have to catch up! I am also excited about my other brother getting married this summer so then I will gain another sister!

Anyway, it has been a crazy hectic week, and I am so glad I don't have to go to work tomorrow. We are leaving at 4am to leave for Alabama. My cousin is getting married so the whole family is piling in the car, like the old days, and heading on a road trip. It should be really fun and I will definitely post pictures as soon as we get back. Please pray for our safe travels and a blessed marriage.

It is homecoming this weekend at UH so be praying for Billy and his team as well. We can only hope they will not play like they did last week, but I have confidence that they will come out strong. I will be getting texts during the wedding with updates, but I am very sad I will have to miss the game :(

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

WOW. . .

That is the only way to describe this weekend, and it is not a good wow. First I had to wake up before 4 on Saturday morning to make a 6am flight to Dallas and then wait for a connecting flight to Tulsa. I get there and all seems great. . . until the game starts. Wow. That was definitely the worst game of football ever! Everything fell apart and just got worse as the game went on. Luckily we scored a touchdown so we weren't shut out, but the boys played horrendously. Then we stayed the night and everyone we saw had to ask how we did. . . a great way to end a devastating night. Well now I am back in Houston and have a very busy week ahead of me, leading to an even longer weekend. I was planning on posting a cute picture of all of us from after the game, but I did not take any pictures (for obvious reasons). Hopefully they play much better this weekend against Marshall. I will have to listen to it on the radio since I will be out of the state, but I will definitely be cheering them on.

Tulsa bound!

I booked my flight to Tulsa today! I was so excited, even though it was rather expensive. That is what I get for waiting until the last minute. On Sunday night, after the football game, I realized how sad I was that I was not going to be able to see possibly the most important game of the season. That is why I decided I needed to get to Tulsa this weekend no matter what. I am going to fly up there Saturday morning and then drive back with Randee. That way I only have to pay for a one-way last minute ticket. Anyway, I will be in Tulsa this weekend, supporting my baby, and cheering him and his team on to victory.

Date Night

So since Billy's game is not until tomorrow night, the football team had Friday night to themselves. Since this was pretty much the first time all semester, it was a date night for us. I was so excited I was going to be spending almost 24 hours with him! I left work early yesterday since I had gotten there early and I made my way down to his house before he was done with football. Once he got home, we got ready and headed out the door. We went to Maggiano's (Italian) for some delicious dinner then headed over to the Cheesecake Factory to pick up some dessert (only for me though since Billy does not like cheesecake). We had a great time walking around the Galleria and doing a little shopping. We then went and rented Mr. Brooks. It was a good movie, even though it was a like messed up (you will have to see it to know what I mean). It was an amazing evening and I am so glad we had that time together.

Here is a picture of us on the way out the door. If you have never been to Maggiano's I would definitely recommend it. The prices are reasonable and the portions are HUGE!

Halloween

It is Halloween today, and all day I have been looking at different blogs. I have been trying to update my work blog and have been reading this blog from a girl that just had quadruplets! They are so cute and they are going to be 4 peas in a pod tonight. It has been so interesting taking a look into the life of someone else so I figured, I could do that. I could create a blog that would be interesting to read. So here I am, creating a blog.

Not too much going on in my life right now. I am having a great time in the "real world" working, living with the parents, and saving up some money. I also am so glad to be back in Houston so I can see the love of my life as often as I would like. I get to cheer for him every weekend while he is on the football field and I get to share plenty of time with him working with Young Life and going to FCA. I am so lucky to have an amazing, godly man, as my boyfriend and I am so proud of him for working his way onto getting a scholarship this year as well as graduating in December (a semester early).

I am sure some exciting times are around the corner as my birthday is in November and then the holidays come rolling in. I have a lot going on in November and December and will definitely keep posting!
