Last night was a late night. As the boys went off to the Bachelor party, some of the girls came over to my parent's. A couple of my mom's friends were here as well.
We wrapped all of the napkins for the tables with ribbon and put a little sucker in them for decoration. When we finished that, Lauren, Michelle, Kimberly and I headed over to our apartment to check it out. We hung out there talking for a while and they even helped me pick out what I was going to wear to everything.
After we left there we came back to my parent's house. Lauren and Michelle went home and Kimberly stayed and hung out. We worked on the slideshow for the wedding, the table arrangements, and finding things for the Bridesmaid Luncheon.
We had a great time, and before we knew it, it was very late. Now I am up early and a little tired, but I have a number of things that need to get done this morning. Many exciting times will happen today and I can't wait for everything to begin!

Hump Day!!
It's Wednesday, and that means we are halfway through the week!
Not too much accomplished today. Went to work and at lunch time met Billy and George at Ninfa's. We went over the table arrangements for the Rehearsal Dinner and then had lunch. I went back to work and then headed back to my parent's house.
I finished printing and folding all of the programs and began to work on the song sheets. We cleaned up around the house and I worked on clearing and cleaning my room. I think I cleared some stuff out but it looks even messier then before.
Tomorrow I am working a half day and then people will start coming in town! I am so excited and can't wait for the next couple of days.

Few Days TUESDAY
There are only a few days left until the wedding!
Today I went into work for awhile, even though I am usually off on Tuesdays. I figured since I am taking off part of Thursday and all of Friday, I should probably go in and work a little. Before heading off to work, I loaded up my car with some more of my stuff (it seems never ending). I went to the apartment at lunch time to drop it all off and to grab something to eat. I don't know how all our things are going to fit into a one bedroom apartment :/
I continued to print a few programs, but once I hit 80- my printer ran out of ink. I need to go to a different computer and print the rest, but I just have not gotten around to it.
This evening I have been working on the slideshow that will be going on during the reception - if I can get it to work. So hopefully I can get that on a DVD and over to the reception site soon,
Billy has been busy during the past few days as well. He has gone to the dentist, gotten a haircut, and even hung out in the sun today to get some sort of a tan. He also has done some maintenance things for the apartment and helped his parents get their house ready for their guests.
EXCITING NEWS - for us at least.
We have had a few people call last minute to let us know that they will now NOT be able to attend the reception. This really stinks because we had to turn our final number in last Tuesday. I emailed the coordinator at Houston National, just to check to see if we could change the number, and she said YES! This is very exciting as it will save a bit of money,
On tomorrow's list we have to get the table assignments down and write the table cards out. We also need finish the programs, print out the song sheets, and pull everything together for the Big Day!
It is quickly approaching! I can't wait for everyone to start getting into town!!!

Program Printing
Currently I am sitting on my computer printing all of our programs. It is very time consuming, but at least I am able to do some other things while I am printing them.
Earlier tonight my mom and I finished doing all the favor boxes. We have now shredded paper for the boxes, loaded them with candy, tied ribbons with a note to them, and placed a sticker on them. They are packed in a box and ready to be taken to the reception site.
While Billy and I were at Young Life, my mom put together the out of town "Welcome" bags for the out of town guests. They are so cute and full of goodies like chips, cookies, water, gum, candy, and healthy snacks. They are in coral bags with pink and orange paper and pink ribbon. I am so excited for our guests to get them.
OH! I almost forgot. This morning we went and got our marriage license from the county clerk's office. Now we can really get married.
Our DJ called me today as well. He walked through the whole timeline with me and went over the different requests we have. I am very confident that everything will run smoothly with him running the show.
I guess it is time to write a few more thank-you notes while I am waiting for the programs to print. Tomorrow should be a productive day as well since I am only going into work for a little bit.
5 Days until I am Mrs. Hartford!!

Sunday- 6 days to go!
This was supposed to be posted yesterday. . .
Today was another tournament day at work so I was up there until about 4pm. Afterwards I headed back to my parent's house to see what needed to be done. We worked on doing a few more favors and then we just relaxed.
Billy came over and we opened a few of the gifts we received. We decided we wanted to go ahead and open then so we can begin writing thank you notes. We then headed over to Billy's parent's house for dinner. They had their neighbors over so we got to look at their wedding and honeymoon pictures (they got married this past fall). We had a great time!
Billy and I then went through a bunch of his stuff and decided what was going to the apartment, and what was not. We then loaded up his car with his things. We went back to my parent's to get a few of my things loaded up as well. When we got there my mom showed me an addition she was making to the favor boxes. She got stickers with our picture printed on them and put them on the boxes. It just adds a little more personal touch and we loved it. Billy and I then went to the apartment to unload and organize more of our stuff.
Tomorrow we have a few more things to get done. We have made a checklist and are trying to get as many things marked off as we can.

The 1 Week Countdown
We are down to the final week! I am going to post everyday to keep updated on the week of process before the Big Day.
Today I worked until 3:30. I came home and then went to hang out at a Young Life event. Billy was there as well and we had a great time.
I am now working on finalizing and printing the programs for the ceremony. We have the layout, we are just checking for typos and filling in blanks. We still have a few more favors to finish up, so my parents and I will continue to work on that.
I have confirmed our wedding night hotel stay and made my nails/toes appointment for the day before the wedding. I emailed the DJ all of our requests and time lines and emailed the florist about a few last minute details.
All of the planning is done, so now we are just confirming everything and straightening out a few details. I can't believe that in 7 days Billy and I will be married!!!
Tomorrow I am working again then I am going to try and pack up some more of my room to take over to our apartment. We can't wait to move in soon! Everything is set up, we just need a few more things and we need to bring our clothes, toiletries, etc. over.
It is now time to get some much needed rest, so I will post another update tomorrow evening!

10 Days . . .
OMG! Only 10 more days and I will be married!!! We are getting very excited and making sure all the preparations are made. We have met with all of the vendors and the reception site and the church and all items are in place.
We are doing all the little last minute things like putting favors together and tying ribbons on napkins. We have moved most of our things into our new apartment and are excited to be living together soon!
We are kind of in crazy mode thinking about everything, but we are ready to go. It will be here before we know it!

30 Days to Prep!
WOW! I have been so busy and I know I will continue to be for the next 30 days.
The Couples Shower we had a couple of weeks ago was very nice. It was at Billy's parents house and was hosted by Linda and one of her best friends. There were about 35 people there that we have not seen in a while so it was awesome. We had some delicious food and spent some quality time with our friends and family. My bridesmaid Marisa and her husband as well as the rest of the bridal party (minus the best man and maid of honor) were in attendance. It was a fun-filled night!
I have been working 6 days a week so on Tuesdays, my day off, I cram everything I can into those hours. I have gone to get my dress altered twice, have met with the florist again, visited the hotel we blocked rooms at (since it just opened) and done all the other little things that have needed to get done. Yesterday we went and picked up Billy's wedding band from the jeweler so that is done and it is beautiful! I still have a number of little things to get done along with some last minute meetings.
After working all day Saturday, Billy and I, along with our parents and Craig and Michelle, are heading to Beaumont for a fun family shower hosted by my god mother. It is going to be at a jazz restaurant and should be a great time.
Tuesday I am meeting with our wedding coordinator to go over all the details of the wedding day and let her know who all is involved. I am then heading back to the dress place for my final fitting. I am hoping that everything is perfect and that the next time I have to go there is to pick up my dress the week before the wedding. Once I leave the dress shop, I am headed back to the church to meet with Billy and the organist to go over our ceremony music. I am also planning on meeting with the linen lady, so my Tuesday is already full for next week.
A few things left on our to-do list:
- pick out our first dance song (yes I know we should know this already but we haven't thought about it too much until lately)
- create and print the ceremony programs
- get the candy for the favors and complete those
- get our marriage license
- confirm all reservations and vendors
- work out the wedding day schedule and the day before schedule
There are about 100 other things on the list too I am sure, but I can only think of a few at a time. We are down to the last month so that means we will be ultra busy! We are getting very excited and definitely counting down the days!

43 Days. . .
Last Sunday my mom's friends threw me an amazing around the calendar shower. I was completely overcome by all they did. All around the house were the best decorations for every month of the year. The food they made was absolutely delicious, as was the cake. And the flowers were beautiful!
It was so great to see everyone that I don't get to see on a normal basis. It was also nice to have Lauren, Betsy and Michelle there. They were all extremely helpful. When it was time to open presents, Lauren wrote down who they were from, Betsy helped collect trash and make the "bow"quet, and Michelle ran all the presents back and forth. It ran like clockwork.
Billy and I are so blessed to have amazing friends and family. We have gotten so many items that we definitely will need. We can't wait to move into our apartment and get married so we can use it all!
I was going to post pictures from the shower, but I did not take any and I have not gotten them from anyone yet. So as soon as I get those, I will put them up.
Tuesday (since that is my day off) has turned into the "get everything done" day. I took my dress back to the shop and got measured for alterations. The only thing I am doing is putting a bustle in and possible taking in the bodice. I finished writing all my thank-yous for the shower, and I did all my laundry. I did a few other little things and called it a day.
Tonight we are having a "Jack and Jill" Shower thrown by Billy's mom and her good friend. We are both so excited about it and we can't wait to see everyone! I am especially excited that Marisa and her husband are coming in from Dallas for the shower and Bryan and Betsy and Caleb are coming in town for the whole weekend!
I have to work both Saturday and Sunday, but luckily we will be done by 2 or 3 on Sunday. I hope everyone has a great weekend and has fun watching the Superbowl!

Anticipation
We are at the 50 day mark! Everytime I look at the countdown I realize that I have so much more to get done and so few days to do it all in.
This weekend is going to be VERY full. At work we have a tournament all day both days, so I will be up there a lot. Saturday I will be coaching a team until at least 2 and then will be working until playoffs are over. Then Sunday I will be helping coach in the morning for the little 11 and under team. Around noon I will probably head home to get ready for my first shower!!!! I am so excited about it. My mom's friends always throw an "Around the Calendar" shower and it is so much fun. Everyone invited gets a month and then they do something according to their month. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. After the shower I will probably head back to work for a little bit, and then my wonderful weekend will be over:(
On another note. I sent out invitations 2 days ago so people are beginning to get them. I can not wait until RSVP cards start coming in. It is so much fun to see who will be there and who will not.
Let's see, I still have a few big things to do before the Big Day:
* Ask the people we want to do the readings if they would do it
* Get the music worked out and programs printed
* Get the favors and other small table decorations ready
* Take my dress to get the bustle put in
* Get gifts for groomsmen, parents, etc
Those are only a few of the big things I can think of that we still have left to do. I am sure there are many more that I am not even thinking of at this moment.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I will be sure to post pictures from the shower sometime next week!

Less Than 2 Months to Go!
We are down to 56 days! Every week seems to go by even faster then the one before. We have a lot to get done and not very much time left!
This past Tuesday I finally had the opportunity to take my bridal portraits. It was a little chilly outside, but it was sunny and beautiful, so I couldn't pass it up. My mom and I started off by going and getting my hair and makeup done. We then headed off to find some flowers so we could make a bouquet (yes, we forgot about flowers until that morning!). Around noon Lauren came over and the three of us headed to meet the photographers. There were a lot of photographs taken and they all turned out great. I wish I could share them, but that will have to wait!
Also over the week, Billy and I booked a DJ (DJs Unlimited) and got a hotel room for our wedding night. We will be staying at the beautiful Magnolia Hotel in downtown Houston. We also have been looking for a place to live over the past weeks. We have found some apartments we like, but we are looking into renting a house as well. If we can not find a nice house in our price range soon, we will just go with an apartment. Either way, I just can't wait to be living in the same place as Billy!
Today my mom and I are headed shopping to find the bridesmaids some fun jewelry to wear. We are also going to be looking for a wedding book and some other last minute items. This is the last weekend I have off from work until the wedding so I am going to try and get all the little details done!
We are planning on working on invitations later on today and hopefully sending them out soon! I can not believe how fast the time has come, but I can't wait to see everything put together on the Big Day!!

Its January Already?!?!
Wow! The past 2 weeks have flown by faster then I could ever imagine.
Christmas was so much fun. My whole family was at our house for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning so we got to spend some quality time together. It was so exciting to be a part of my nephew, Caleb's first Christmas. I am very blessed to have a great family!

After Christmas we headed up to fort Worth for Billy's bowl game. We had a fun time up there and it was even better since the Cougars won the game! It was the first time in 28 years for them to win so it was awesome!

After the game we headed to North Dallas to hang out with Marisa and Brandon. Some of their friends came over and we all went out to dinner and then hung out at their house for New Year's Eve. It was a great way to ring in the new year. We are very lucky to have such great friends!
We headed back to Houston the next morning, but then left the following day to go to Austin. There was a big volleyball tournament there this weekend so I went to help coach. Billy came along as well and we had a great time! All of our teams did great so it made the weekend even better.
Now we are back in Houston and down to 68 days before we get married! It has been a speedy adventure so far and I know it will only get faster as the date gets closer.
I hope everyone has a fantastic 2009 and that you are blessed with many joys and fun!
